13th Islandwide Spring Crafts and Food Expo

APRIL 30 - MAY 2, 2010

The 13th Spring Islandwide Crafts & Food Expo

Exhibitor Rules

The Rules for Exhibitors

in the Islandwide Crafts & Food Expos help to ensure a smooth running, high quality and successful show.

The main rules and regulations (more details in the vendor’s registration packet):

 1. Artists and crafters will sell only items that they make. They may not sell items that are imported or contracted. Some assistance from local family and friends in producing inventory is acceptable.

 2. Food products must be fresh and packaged in a size and type that does not compete with Blaisdell concession sales. (For example, vendors may not sell bentos.)

 3. Every food seller must be covered by current product-liability insurance to sell those products listed on their contract.

 4. Every product must be listed on the application form for approval by the fair director. Later additions or changes must be registered by phone or mail.

 5. Every vendor must keep his booth staffed and open for business for all three days of the expo, throughout the advertised hours of the expo. Only after closing time is announced, and not any time before, may vendors start taking down and putting away.

 6. Vendors must maintain enough inventory to cover all three days of the expo. If you are running low, notify the expo director, Caroline Infante, at the information booth. If this happens, you will be required to stay open; hold back some items and present them as samples; and take customers’ orders.

 7. Only the registered vendor, partner or sharer may use the assigned booth. If, after all, a vendor is unable to participate, the vendor’s permission to use the space is terminated, and the right to reassign the space reverts to the authority of the expo director.

 8. Vendors must move every box and other disposable trash to the two dumpsters, which are rented specifically for use by the Islandwide Expos. Vendors may not use trash cans on the exhibition floor.

 9. Vendors must adhere to a dress code.

 • Spring Expo: Vendors must wear either: aloha attire (mu’u mu’u, aloha shirt); business or office wear; or dinner or party wear. Lei and hats are optional. No tank tops or shorts.

 • Christmas Expo: Vendors must wear a Christmas accessory (example: tinsel lei, Santa hat, etc.), along with aloha attire/muumuu, aloha shirt; business, office wear; or dinner, party wear.

 10. Vendors must decorate their booths with season-appropriate decor:

 • Spring Expo: Each booth must have one potted plant, live or artificial, for the table; AND one floral wreath or bouquet, live or artificial, minimum 6 inches in diameter, to hang on back-wall pipe of booth.

 • Christmas Expo: Each booth must have one decorated Christmas tree or poinsettia, live or artificial, for the table; AND one Christmas wreath, live or artificial, minimum 6 inches in diameter, to hang on back-wall pipe of booth.

11. Professional decorum is a strict requirement of vendors.
